I am a friendly, highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated team-player with a broad range of
relevant computer industry experience. I am considered by others (and myself) to be a person of integrity.
I am somewhat unique in that I love working with both computers and people and, therefore, have
gravitated into working environments that allow me to do both.
I keep myself very busy and any spare time that I have away from my work and my family is
devoted to self-study and several volunteer opportunities with which I am involved.

Executive Summary
|
Kevin Traas brings 18 years of relevant computer industry experience to his role as President
and founder
of HyGuard Network Services and Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of
NetMaster Digital Security. His experience also served him well as former
Chief Information Officer of Merilus, Inc.
Before it's closure in 1997, Kevin served as Information Systems Manager at Canadian Forces Base
(CFB) Chilliwack, where he gained valuable experience and insight into communications and security
infrastructure, needs assessment, and customer service and support. His experience in working with
embedded security and communications devices and his years of experience with Linux is invaluable when
designing and implementing the products, services, and solutions offered by HyGuard and NetMaster.
Kevin is a SCO Unix Advanced Certified Engineer and has been working with SCO Unix, Linux, and
other versions of Unix for more than 15 years. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional and
Novell Certified Network Administrator.
His past experience also includes being a Board Member and Lead System Administrator of ValleyNet;
a system and service provided by the Fraser Valley Community Information Society. Kevin is
also a former Instructor of Continuing Education at the University College of the Fraser Valley.
